Sichuan West Gas Field is a key project for the development of high-sulfur natural gas. The stability of the power system directly affects production safety and efficiency. In view of the complex power grid environment in the region and the voltage sag problems easily caused by lightning strikes, short circuits, etc., the project adopts a low voltage ride-through (LVRT) device to effectively ensure the continuous operation capability of key equipment during power grid fluctuations. The device monitors voltage fluctuations in real time. When the voltage drops to the threshold (such as 20%-50% of the rated voltage), it quickly switches the compensation mode. Through dynamic reactive power support, energy storage release or variable frequency speed regulation and other technical means, it maintains the operation of core equipment such as compressors and electric drive pumps within 200ms without disconnection from the grid, avoiding production interruptions and gas leakage risks. The system design integrates domestically produced intelligent controllers and redundant power supply modules to adapt to the harsh climatic conditions of the western Sichuan plateau, and realizes fault warning and parameter optimization through a remote monitoring platform. Actual operation data shows that after application, unplanned downtime caused by grid failures has been reduced by more than 80%, the equipment's pressure shock resistance has been increased to 1.5kV/10ms, and the annual gas production has increased by about 12 million cubic meters, providing a reliable power guarantee example for the intelligent development of deep gas fields.
